Hello from Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa!!! We got here late Thursday night and we’ve spent the past two days settling in and exploring. Our travel “day” went a little something like this…
A bus ride from Atlanta, GA to Richmond, VA with a little stop in Charlotte.
A 5 hour delay at the Richmond bus station
Bus Ride from Richmond to Washington DC
A 9ish hour wait for our plane
A 12 hour plane ride from DC to Qatar
4 hour layover
A 7 hour plane ride from Qatar to Johannesburg SA
12 hour layover
An hour flight from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth
And finally a short drive from Port Elizabeth to Jeffreys Bay
All of that total was about 83 hours of travel. I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t always fun wearing the same clothes or not showering for four days but it was a learning experience.
Being a missionary does not mean going to a third world country and teaching people about Jesus there. The World is your mission field. People need to know the Good News in Cape Coral Florida just as much as in South Africa. I can show the love of Jesus in a bus station in Virginia at three in the morning. Living on a mission is a lifestyle and it doesn’t just take place in Africa.
And finally, I’M STILL FUNDRAISING!!! I need a little less then $6,000 to be fully funded. I need to be fully funded by January to continue my World Race. I am so grateful for how God has provided up until this point and I am completely faithful that God will continue to provide.
