Hello everyone!
If you don’t already know me, my name is Skye Hunter. I am 20 years old, and I was born and raised in Utah.
I heard about the Lord from the time I was little, but I came to know Him personally when I was 16. Since then: the more I see of Him, the more I want to see.
Some months back I was searching and hungering for something radical. I desired adventure, I desired ministry, I desired to surrender more to God, and I desired to start living out of my comfort zone. I know now, through prayer and divine confirmations, that the Lord has led me to this amazing organization.
I have struggled with fear from a very young age. Fear that I am not good enough, fear of heights, fear of simply socializing, fear of bugs, fear of harm, and the list goes on. But let me tell you something that our Good Father has shown me: He is STRONG when we are weak! He uses our weakness to reveal His power and glory! We are ABLE to do anything through Christ who gives us strength. On this race, I will be used by God to reach the lost and the hungry. God will speak through me while I am preaching, he will heal through me while I am praying, and certainly He will be my strength when I am afraid. I may just possibly be around people constantly, bungee jump, hike to base camp in Nepal, EAT bugs, speak in front of a lot of people, and face most of my major fears. You know it’s blessed by God when you have peace about these things! I am excited to overcome my fears and learn to trust God with everything.
