We’re not exempt. To think, even for just one second that our lives could possibly consist of anything less than passion, purpose, boldness, adventure, revelation, and love should completely terrify us. To believe that anything less than wholeheartedly pursuing our dreams could possibly suffice should make us cringe. The very idea of getting to the end of our lives with any regrets of not doing all that we could with the time that we had should really stir our hearts. Am I saying this because I’ve perfectly perfected the art of life? No. I’m saying this because God’s showing me more and more, every day that any human being with breath in their lungs and life in their bones needs to wake up with a burning passion in their heart. We need it. Nothing else works. Nothing else matters, because If there’s no eternity in what you’re doing every single day then why are you doing it? If you don’t have something you’re willing to die for then what are you really living for? Or are you living at all? Are you just surviving? Existing? Mindlessly drifting through life with a stable job, nice house, big family and satisfaction of knowing you’ve achieved the American dream. What does that even mean anyways? We’ve all experienced the longing for something more than this natural world could ever give us. That’s because we were never created to rely on what this natural world could give us in the first place.
We’ve all realized at some point that the temporary nature of this world just can’t sustain our longings. It’s because we weren’t created to live temporarily. You were created to dwell in the presence of a perfect God. You weren’t just born to be great, you were predestined before the beginning of time by the most high God to be great. Do you believe that when you read it? Can you sense the Holy Spirit in this blog? I’ve prayed that he would write this through me. It’s very simple when you try to reflect on all this.
Don’t deny yourself the truth you’ve been searching for for so long. Don’t be content to be content any longer. Brothers and sisters the time is now. I can’t give you truth, but I can point you towards it. GOD IS ALIVE. He will never stop pursuing you. He has a furious love for his children. All of them. Can you believe that you can’t deny his love once you’ve know it? I’m asking you to dig deep into your heart and find out for yourself that God loves you. He will never stop pursuing you. Young, old, believer, or non-believer. It doesn’t matter. God’s love for all of us is infinite. Stop making excuses and stop being complacent. Get real with yourself and seek the truth like nothing else matters. I guarantee you God will show up and show you who he is.
Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. No one gets to the father except through him. You will not be fulfilled until you understand that truth for your self. That’s the truth of the Gospel.
