We’re now in Swaziland which has just recently been renamed Eswatini. It’s a small land locked country within South Africa. We have a full week of ministry under our belt so far and my team of 5 was assigned to various agricultural assignments which have consisted of clearing weeds by hand, sowing seeds by hand, collecting eggs from a local chicken coop and various other tasks. It’s been really cool to physically perform these acts and recognize the biblical parallels every day. It gives you an entirely new perspective to work in a huge field and plow a crop by hand while you sow seeds into the freshly tilled soil as many others around you spread fertilizer. All done by hand for those in need. You can’t imagine how much God will show you as you sow seeds in his name.

With all that being said, I’d love to invite all my readers into prayer again for some of the problems here in Eswatini. It is the HIV and AIDS capital of the world. It also has an extremely high unemployment rate as well as a very large problem with broken families. Many of the children here have no father figure in their homes. It’s very reminiscent of how broken the concept of a family is in America. Sadly many of us in the states can relate to the idea of a broken family all to well. So with that I ask that you would pray for a generation of men who can clearly see who their father in heaven is, so that they can be the father that their children deserve.

I would also ask everyone to pray for the on going AIDS epidemic here in this country as the life expectancy here is only 49 years old because of the virus. It’s so heart breaking to see the effects of AIDS in this country. It truly destroys life for so many more than just those who have contracted it. So please join my squad and I as we pray and spread the good news of the Gospel to this country so that the Holy Spirit can come and breathe new life into these beautiful people.
