I wrote this a million years when we didn’t have wifi and I just came across it and I realized I never posted it so here we go:

Something I’ve been learning is no story is too small to tell and that the things that seem “tiny” in my head can have the biggest impacts on the unexpected person. So in light of that, one of my favorite things about the Lord is the fact He shows up in the little things. Abba loves shocking and surprising us to continue to build up our faith little by little. Today He did that for Brooke and I.

A group of us decided to watercolor a little in our free time. Brooke and I finished and thought it would be cool to pray for the Lord to give us a verse for each others paintings. I half expected it not to work but I thought it was a fun idea.

I prayed for Abba to give me a verse for Brooke’s painting and immediately the verse Psalms 43:3 came to mind. So I opened my bible casually just to see if it applied. The verse was about holy mountains, Brooke’s painting was of mountains. We went CRAZY!!!!!!

So then Brooke was so excited to pray for mine. She prayed and then opened her bible, I was super excited. She opened her bible and we read it, Isaiah 45:6. Nothing really clicked. But we were still excited about hers.

I touched up a few things on my painting and talked with my friends. Then I decided to take one more look at the verse and my jaw dropped. HOW DID THAT NOT CLICK THE FIRST TIME?????? The verse starts by talking about a sun rising and then setting, then followed by a sweet reminder.

This is my painting:

This is Brooke’s :

I thought this was a cool little Jesus wink that would make someone somewhere smile 🙂
