Being a senior in College is both an exciting yet scary place to be. The world is your oyster they say. Yet there are so many questions about the future that could cause concern rather than confidence. Like where will I live, where will I work, who will be my friends, and what will my faith look like outside of a college environment? It seems like the future is in our own hands and it’s all up to us huh?

Good news. It’s not.

God invited us into His story; we didn’t invite Him into ours. If things aren’t going your way – they aren’t supposed to. They are supposed to go His. We find our lives when we lay it down and I personally think the safest place to do that is at the cross.

In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6

This is one of the greatest truths and promises we have as Christians living for God’s Kingdom and not our own. Our God is faithful and His plan is always better than ours. Even when our worldly relationships, careers, and futures are shaky and unknown, He is not. He is our only constant. His faithfulness will be the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

“Awe of God means I live knowing that there is a greater story than my little personal story. Awe of God means there is a grander kingdom than my little kingdom of one. Awe of God means that God has a plan far bigger and better than any plans I have for myself.” –Paul David Tripp

If I was writing my own story, I probably would have missed out on this crazy and exciting adventure my friend Jesus is inviting me on called The World Race.

So. Let go of the pen.

God is the author.

Your story is already written.
