What a travel week! I’m a bit behind on posting but it’s been an insane month. We left our host in Panama on the 4th and didn’t make it to Indonesia until the 10th and what a journey that was!

I had lots of surprises and few terrifying moments. But I wouldn’t change it for anything!

Here’s a list of some events that happened during our travel week.

I found out I was fully funded on a roof top over looking all of Panama City, Panama!

I had a 24 hour layover where my mom and best friend were traveling to see me in LA!

After arriving to the hotel I found out that my Grammy also flew to LA to surprise me!! She bought my team pizza! (Coolest grandma in the world!)

The pizza delivery guy came to the actual hotel room. Weird I know. Turns out the pizza guy came all the way from Louisiana in the form of 2 Aunts and cousin!? Three more surprises!

My goal in LA was to get to target and buy more deodorant. How hard could that be? *insert God laughing* A wrench was thrown in that plan at breakfast when an aggressive gunman decided to shoot at a cop in our hotel parking lot. It was the hardest morning of my life, I watched the people I love the most run for there lives. But God had his hand on the situation and after hours of being on lock down we finally made it to Target and to my flight later that night. (Everyone made it safely out of the situation)

I slept through a 15 hour flight to China!

During my layover in that amazing country I accidentally ordered chicken feet with my meal. (Insert gag) and onto our next flight to Indonesia.

Still not to our final destination so we spent 24 hours in an Indonesia airport, where we had amazing noodles!  (my team likes to call them noodes and I made an appearance on Liv’s nood review on insta)

Finally our last flight was to Medan, Indonesia and when my fearless leader asked our host how we would find him he said, “spirt to spirt You. Will. Just. Know.” Meaning the Holy Spirt will tell you who I am. At that point all you can do is laugh.

Don’t worry the spirit didn’t fail us and we found the way.

It was a crazy experience but I am beyond grateful for my squad and my family. They were able to push through and still make time for laughs.

For kicks and giggles here are some pictures from Panama to Indonesia.

When in Panama you gotta go to the Panama Canal

We all were repping Boston University headed to LA. Because why not.

All of us at the hotel during lock down.

Target success.

About 5 minutes before I ordered chicken feet.

Breakfast of champs after sleeping on the airport floor.

Waiting for the Spirit to highlight our host.

welcome to Indonesi, our home for the next 4 weeks!
