Hey yall,
Sorry I havent posted in a while it’s been a crazy few weeks.
Some Updates:
I recently got a new team.
They are fabulous. I’ll post another blog introducing you to those lovely people soon.
I am currently in Panama and I am still on a beach loving life.
Before I moved on too fast I wanted to make a video showing yall some of my day to day life as a missionary on The World Race.
You should know that my squad is awesome! We love to laugh and dance and just have fun even in weird and sometimes uncomfortable situations.
As one of my new teammates says if its funny its funny!
But even through the giggles and hard work we were able to see Jesus move in AMAZING ways. We worked and stayed with an organization called Oceans Edge Jacó. The building looked like a marina turned hostel it had an open-air layout with walls covered beach themed murals.
Jacó is known for being the Las Vegas of Costa Rica. In the last couple of years, Oceans Edge has been working with the local government to change the community and revitalize the city making it a more of a safe, family-friendly environment.
We spent 3 weeks at the Edge digging holes ,building stairs, painting, babysitting, and we built a soccer field in one of the most poverty stricken neighborhoods in Jacó. We painted drum rudiments, music notes, in the music room of a government building AND helped with a children’s surf club, I was a life saver (or more popularly known as a life guard.)
Jacó had so much to offer us as a squad and we were able to leave a little figure print on their city in return.
I will probably post another blog about some of the things I personally worked through while in Costa Rica until then I hope you enjoy!
