“So why are you doing The World Race?”

If you know me, then you know that I have an actual written bucket list with things I hope to do, adventures I hope to go on, and countries I dream of visiting. If you know me, then you know that school has always been a struggle. If you know me, then you know that the thing I believe most in this world is that God loves and that His love deserves to be shared.

These are all very true things, and I have definitely said all of these to people who have asked me this question. Although true, there is so much more that went into my signing onto doing something so bold.

I picked the World Race, because it was presented to me during a very hard time in my life. It was like a beacon of hope and a beautiful reminder that God is always working and that I have a purpose.  I have never felt more called to something, or more at peace with a hard decision in my life. My heart has been called to the world and the people that live in it.

Some might say that there are easier ways to do this, or that I don’t need to leave the country or safety of my own home to share the gospel. I agree, there are other ways and people who need to know Jesus right here where I live, but I am drawn to the challenges of The World Race. I trust that God will sustain me, and through that trust and through the challenges only good can come out of it. Yes, I am leaving all of my friends and family, yes I am taking a year off of school, yes it is scary, and yes it could potentially put me in a weird/dangerous situation.

All I have to say to that is, the sacrifice might be BIG, but my God is BIGGER.

My decision to do The World Race, is so much more than just wanderlust. I have experienced real love!! There is literally nothing like it. This is an opportunity for me to branch out, adventure a little, and further the Kingdom. Through this, I am going to learn so much more about myself and become bold in who God created me to be.

I hope this was helpful for those of you still wondering why I am going on this trip. I am open to all questions about The World Race so please don’t be afraid to ask! Thank you for reading my blogs and supporting me prayerfully and financially. It means the world to me!!

If there is any way I can praying for you, let me know!
