The Lord really showed me His love last week in ministry.

I taught 3rd and 4th graders with some of my teammates last week, and my other teammates painted the library in the school. At first I was nervous to teach older kids and I honestly never thought I would teach. I thought I hated teaching and would never become a teacher. The Lord really changed my heart, now I love teaching and getting to know the kids.

I met a 4th grade girl named SokHuy. She is the sweetest thing, she talked a lot but right away I knew she needed love and attention just like all the other kids.

She asked me if I knew teacher Maggie, and I said no. Then she told me that Teacher Maggie believed in Jesus like I do and that she taught at the school when she was in 2nd grade. I knew that teacher Maggie must’ve been a missionary with the World Race teaching at this same school two years ago. SokHuy continued to tell me that Teacher Maggie gave her a note and picture expressing God’s love for SokHuy, she even gave her a kids book about the story of Jesus. SokHuy told me that she believes in Buddha but still reads the book that teacher Maggie gave her.

WOW again!!! The Lord showed me that every little thing we do makes a difference. I felt so encouraged to know that we really are planting seeds. Teacher Maggie planted a seed in this little girl two years ago and God gave me the chance to water it.

So I colored in a coloring page that SokHuy gave me and wrote this verse on the back… “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 `and I wrote YOU ARE LOVED SOKHUY!

God really showed me that we ARE making a difference in our ministry. We ARE planting seeds even if we don’t get to see the harvest. We just have to trust and obey what God calls us to do even if we don’t get to see the fruit.

Spending time with the kids last week and really getting to know them just made me fall in love with them. I could see the Father’s love for us through the love I had for these students. I learned how much God loves everyone of His children. He loves them even if they don’t know who He is, if they are Buddhist, if they are a sinner, if they are saved. He loves ALL.
