To my supporters:
As I’m sitting here waiting for launch, it doesn’t feel real that I leave for Guatemala in a little over two weeks. There are a lot of emotions and thoughts running through my mind as the reality of leaving the country, my friends, my family, and my comforts for nine months becomes more real with each passing day, but the strongest emotion I have felt is gratitude, and it’s because of you.
I could get teary eyed just thinking about how blessed I am to take on an opportunity like this. That the Lord would open the door and allow me to be a part of His kingdom not because he needs me to but because he wants me to. It’s too much to comprehend.
But not only am I grateful for my heavenly father’s provision during this time but for yours as well. If you’re reading this and you have simply prayed for me, encouraged me, donated money, bought a tshirt, bought an art print, or simply just taken the time to sit down and read my blog, your obedience to the Lord and your generosity has blessed me more than you will ever know. Because of YOU, I can chase what was once a seemingly impossible dream to know my Jesus more intimately and to be a part of what He’s doing across the world. I know it may be hard to see it now, but your donations and support are going to be used by the Lord to reach people who may have otherwise never heard the name of Jesus. Because of your obedience, the Lord can use your generosity to bring his Kingdom down to earth, and because you said YES you get to be a part of that! Although you may not be going on the field with me, I consider you a ministry partner, my dear brother or sister in Christ, and how cool is it that your support is allowing us to do ministry together??? Because of your support, the people of Guatemala, Ethiopia, Thailand, and Malaysia that we will encounter will get to taste and see the Lord’s goodness.
These words still seem inadequate to accurately express how thankful I am to you if you are reading this or have donated or supported me in any way, but all I can say is thank you thank you thank you thank you. Your willingness to give sacrificially is such a delight to the Lord, and I want to encourage you with some words from Paul in 2 Corinthians 9:
“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of this service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.”
I just want to encourage you, my dear brother or sister, that if you have supported me in ANY way, whether through donating, encouraging, praying, buying a print or tshirt, or taking the time to ask me about what I’m doing or sat down to read a blog, your generous heart is a reflection of Christ, and I have been beyond blessed by your generosity and cheerful giving.
So to sum up this blog, all I have to say is thank you. Because of you and your willingness to say yes and obey the Lord, the kingdom is growing, reaching, and being harvested as I type this, and I am so beyond thankful to be partnering with you in my ministry!
If you would still like to donate, I’m about 75% of the way funded PRAISE THE LORD!!! and you can donate directly through this blog! If you have any questions about what I’m doing, how to pray for me, or just want to grab some coffee and chat, feel free to reach out! My email is [email protected] and I would love to hear from you! Thanks again for everything, you have blessed me more than you will ever know.
Blessings,
