What’s the purpose?

     The purpose of going is Love. There is a lot of brokenness in the world, pain, suffering, abandonment, it goes on… what I have through Christ is Love and the ability to share that Love which conquers all. The ability to meet the needs of people, to walk alongside them in times of darkness, to look someone in the eyes and tell them they are loved even when they do not know what love is supposed to look like. They are loved because they are loved by God and because they are loved by God they are loved by me. My goal is to allow people to see the Love of God through how I love them. “Love each other as I have loved you.”- John 15:12

    Christianity is not about putting people down, it is not about judgment, or a list of what you shouldn’t do. It is loving others unconditionally because Christ loves first. Accepting people and helping them, meeting the needs of others, being a friend, being a light, being the person who says “I love you” and shows it too.

   Where I am now (USA)  I know this and live by this and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to go travel to three new countries (South Africa, Ecuador, & Cambodia) and share this Love with people. I am ready and willing to do my best to met the needs of those around me, to love the people I will encounter, and to reflect the unconditional love of Jesus.

 

     This is not by my own power but through God who has given me this desire to go on this journey and to go share His Love.
