Hey guys! I am so happy you’re here! Welcome to my first blog post! In this blog post I am going to answer a few questions regarding where my heart is for The World Race!
About two years ago, my heart at the time was longing for a good job surrounding the concept of photography. Out of no where it instantly changed. Suddenly after four long years of finding any way to pursue my passion, I began pursuing something else. It honestly kind of scared me because i wasn’t quite aware of what God was putting before me. Thats when i heard about The World Race Gap Year program. Nine months in three different countries sounded so hard and seemed like nothing I could ever do, but for some reason the thought of it was really fascinating to me. I kept looking deeper into the program and by doing so I discovered a calling from God. Ever since then, I have never been more ready and confident in something in my whole Eighteen years of living. The Lord has worked in my life in astounding ways and I’m overjoyed with the unimaginable door he has opened for me. I can not wait to share his love to the world and show people that he is here for them.
1.Why do you want to go on the World Race?
I really want to go to not only help those in need, but to also spread the word of the one and only father. I want to make disciples of all nations by leaving this blessed place, I am fortunate enough to call home, and go into these third-world countries building my father’s kingdom. Ministry has been my calling for years and there is no better way to kickstart my long journey than with the Gap Year. I truly believe that The World Race Gap Year is my calling from God.
2.In which ways are you trying to grow and develop while on Gap Year?
I really want to grow in being more grateful. I feel like a lot of the time I never realize how truly fortunate I am to have a roof over my head and food to eat every night. I really want to develop a sense of appreciation for what I am blessed with now and not dwelling so much on the things that are not important. I also want to develop my relationship with the Lord. Having a good steady relationship with Him is EXTREMELY important. Without it, it is really hard to grow in your faith and lead people towards him. I am so excited to see how the Gap Year can work through me!
3.What about college??????
As of right now, I do plan on attending college when I get back from the field, but it honestly all depends on where my heart is after the race. I am going to develop a completely different version of myself while I am away.
4.Did you say $16,000????!!!!!!!
Yes, the amount of money I am needing to raise for this mission is $16,600. It is a whole lot of money (trust me, I know), BUT I am more than confident that God will provide for me and show me his ways. If you ever feel lead to donate, please do! There is a donate section in my blog that you can click on, and it’ll take you right where you need to go! Direct donations aren’t the only way to help me out though so definitely be on the look out for the many fundraisers I have in mind! Other than money, PRAY FOR ME!!!!!!! Prayer is the most powerful thing on the planet and I need all I can get! Please consider praying for me, for my squad, and just for my well-being. It’d be greatly appreciated.
