It’s taken me a long time to sit down and write this out. Mainly because the Lord has taught me so much in the last 4 weeks and I don’t even know where to begin. He has been teaching me all about His plan and where I fit into it and how its in my DNA to be devoted to Him through my time, treasures, and talents. Its just been a lot to process and I want you all to hear about it!

Three weeks ago, my school had what we call Celebration Week. It is a week full of truth and Jesus. We get together every night and worship through music and the Word. The theme this year was “Living on a Mission”. How applicable to my story right now, am I right? On the first night, the message was on the Great Commission out of Matthew 28. I have heard this preached a lot but, on this day, it sat different in my heart. The speaker said that the great commission is for EVERYONE. “Go and make disciples of all the nations.” He said that the world is searching for anything that will fill us up. But guess what, they aren’t going to find it without Christ. WE have Christ, which means that we have the answer. Y’all, Christ has given us our stories so that we can share it. We are called to share Him!

Then he said something that I will hold onto forever, “Don’t think that you have to have something in common to share the gospel.” This is so true. Don’t let your differences prevent you from sharing God’s love and mercy! Acts 1:8 states that you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. So don’t be nervous or afraid, be confident and take courage!

He said something that resonated with me, especially because I am leaving for 11 months. He said, “What you gain is far greater than what you are missing.” One of my biggest fears is leaving what I know behind, to have it keep going and me not be there. This statement gives me so much peace about my trip!

The other thing the Lord has taught me is that, I am the way that I am because of Christ.

“Love is an act of the will accompanied by emotion that takes effect on behalf of its object”

We are the Object.

Christ is Love.

Christs sacrifice was for us so we could spend eternity with him!!

THAT IS LOVE!!

We are called to love one another, and without Christ ultimate sacrifice, we would not know or have love. As followers of Christ, we must be willing to share our stories, to love the unlovable, and to remember that we would not have an eternity if we didn’t have Christ.

We are who we are because of Christ, because of LOVE.

Update: I am almost to my $10,000 goal. In a few short months I will be leaving and I would love to be fully funded before I go. I am so blessed by each of you and your generosity and I pray you will continue to follow my journey and pray for me!

Love,

Kenzie
