Hey there! Welcome back!
I wanted to tell y’all a little more about what I am doing and give you a little update.
So basically, in my last post I failed to mention where I will be going during my trip. But don’t worry I am telling you now! I will be leaving June 4th, 2019 and I am going to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Ethiopia, Djibouti, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia (in this order too)!
I will be doing a lot of different things while in each country. It could look different each day but for the most part I will be working with local churches by ministering to orphans, prostitutes, doing construction, and much more. I will be traveling with my awesome squad (a little over 65 of us total) and we will go and do the work of the Lord!
We are all so excited to journey together and serve our creator together. We have a GroupMe and we are even doing a group bible study, which is super encouraging! Each of us was brought to this team for a reason and I am so eager to see all that the Lord does in us and through us during our time together. I am super excited to tackle this next year with all these beautiful people and I cannot wait to keep y’all updated through the process.
Something the Lord has been teaching me these last couple weeks and let’s be honest, he still is teaching me it, is how to find balance. I am so excited for this trip (like VERY excited) but there have been many times when I have forgotten I am in school still and should be studying, but instead I am watching packing videos or reading other peoples blogs or just simply re-watching my route video and getting giddy with excitement about the trip. I mean don’t get me wrong, I could be watching Netflix or spending time doing nothing, but I still really need to learn to find a balance between these things. I would really appreciate your prayers as I tackle the rest of this semester. It is one of the hardest ones in nursing school and I am doing well right now, but that can change in a heartbeat. I have a lot to do between now and December and it is going to get very overwhelming at times. But I know that all things are possible with Christ and a lot of prayer.
One other thing, my first goal is to raise $5,000 by April 19th, 2019. I am currently $4,830 dollars away from that goal. I would love your help in achieving this goal. If you feel led to donate, please click the “donate” button above. All donations are tax deductible. Any amount is greatly appreciated, whether that be a one-time gift or a monthly donation. I have about 13 months to be fully funded and I will not be able to achieve this without y’all.
Thank you for reading,
~Kenzie
