Hi everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to write an update on where I’m at in my journey regarding fundraising!

 First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me so far. I could not do this without each and every one of you—thank you so very much. I was able to not only meet but surpass my first deadline this past month of $5,000! YAY!

 When thinking of the total amount I need to raise, $19,800, I’ll be the first to admit it’s a very large and daunting number. My first reaction to seeing it was “WOW!” followed by a lot of overthinking and stressing. All of which led me to a lot of praying—praying that I would find the courage and strength to ask others for help, for guidance as I struggled with what to do next, for understanding and patience when others didn’t respond in ways I expected. I’ve learned a lot over the past few months, and most importantly I’ve realized that raising this amount is a process. A process I take day by day, goal by goal, and I’ve learned how to appreciate this process so much better.

While I’ve learned how to better understand $19, 800 and what that means as far as my World Race Journey, I will still admit it’s not easy. It’s not easy to look at and comprehend this number; it’s not easy thinking of different fundraisers and actually going through with them; it’s not easy to balance fundraising and buying any and all necessary gear, equipment, medicines, shots, and other necessities along with the general expenses of everyday life. It’s just not easy. But then again, it’s not meant to be. What would all of this mean if it was?

I know from the top of my head to the soles of my feet that the World Race is exactly what I’m meant to do right now, and raising this money, going on this journey, is so incredibly worth it! As crazy as it sounds, I have come to find absolute, pure joy in fundraising. Coming up with ideas, designing shirts, reaching out to people—it has stretched my way of thinking and opened me up to asking others for help in ways I never could before.

With all of this said, I am so excited and ready to kick-start my next fundraiser! I am hoping to raise enough money to get me to my next goal of $10,000, which is due in early December. Stay tuned to Facebook and Instagram for further details coming soon! (;

Love,
