“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38.
“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14.
These are just two of the numerous verses I have come across confirming what the Lord spoke to me about the tagline I have tacked onto my soon coming World Race (WR) venture, ‘Rivers & Wells.’
My heart has always been after adventure. As far back as I can remember I was begging my father to build me ‘obstacle courses,’ help me track down the kids on the ‘Have You Seen Me?’ cards, and buy me a tent! I have always wanted to have fun, beat the challenge, and most importantly help seek the lost.
The World Race has been an answer to a long time prayer of mine. I thought when I graduated high school that maybe my chance was coming, I could study abroad, experience adventure, and serve the world. However, I am glad that I have waited to hear the Lord’s voice and that his timing is most perfect. I would probably have had an excellent experience without waiting, but now I am 100% certain I will have a divine experience with this opportunity to go on the WR.
R I V E R S
God’s affirming voice spoke in me as i was seeking confirmation to go on the World Race. He confirmed my hunger to seek and save the lost, like his Word commands us. He energized my spirit, gave me vision, and broke my heart all in a few words. He whispered to me that I am to look for rivers. Rivers are places where his presence flows. Rivers are a sustaining source for life. He whispered to me to seek out the believers in these eleven countries and joy in the river with them. God’s presence is vast, and He has a body of believers in this world already, and my job when I encounter these is to stir up, build up, and cheer up. I am excited to meet believers all over the world, and experience Gods living presence with them. I will encounter R I V E R S.
W E L L S
Rivers are not formed without tapping into the Well of Life. As excited as I am to go and commune globally with a body of believers I recognize that there are those who are separated from God, and have not yet experienced the love and life of Jesus. I know I heard the Holy Spirit whisper, “& Wells.” This confirmed to me that there will be places on the journey that people are needing to be refreshed, for the first time, or as a reminder. Jesus is sending me to help draw out the living water inside of people and places. I can not be refreshing or sustaining to anyone, but I can be the bucket that holds what they need, and I am willing to pour out all I have to Mongolia, China, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, and Greece.
I R E M A I N C O N F I D E N T
Whether I experience RIVERS or WELLS, I am ready. I am committed. I have trained for this. I remain confident of the GOODNESS of the LORD! Help me rejoice with the joyous, mourn with the broken, feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, but most importantly advocate for the need of this world to experience an outpouring of the Living Water of Christ Jesus.
