Hello yall,
Forgive me on the formalities of this post, due to never doing anything like this in my life. However, I just wanted to reach out to yall and let you know some of the things that God has been laying on my heart while getting ready to spend my next year completely surrendered to his authority.
Last month I had the opportunity to attend a training camp hosted by Adventures missions and members of the World Race community. I was definitely apprehensive about what to expect from the two weeks of training. This apprehensiveness came from not knowing what to expect from my future team members who would no doubt have different views on what a Christian walk with God should really look like. Along with the potential of the leadership’s theology not lining up with mine. There was also some small fear of lack of chemistry with my team.
These fears came crashing down during the first night when it came to the worship. What I saw were around a hundred people worshiping Jesus and what the scripture spoke about him. After the worship, we heard from Bill Swan and his vision of what the World Race was and felt immediate confirmation from God that this was what he was calling me to. The remainder of the camp I was able to get a better understanding of the people they want us to reach and the people I will be spending the next year of my life with. During training camp they had us sharing one platter of food between eight of us, completing team building exercises, and just bonding with like-hearted individuals who are committed to the same prompting of the Spirit as I am.
A lot has happened over the last month and as more of it comes to me I will share through this post or face to face conversations if you see me. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of yall. So as of now, I will end on a word of encouragement.
“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.” – Romans 4:20
