Hey Thugs, ya boi out here in Siem Reap. There is no parental supervision and our leadership team is not holding us by the hand anymore. No more training wheels!

This past week I have read over and over again about listening to the Father and to be childlike in Faith.

Matthew 17:5

This is my beloved Son, with who I am well pleased; listen to him

Matthew 19:14

Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for such belongs the kingdom of heaven

These verses have been reminders for me to depend on the good Ol’ Heavenely Papa Bear. To continue to ask him for what’s next and to wait for His say so. Super hard because as we left from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, I was like ” cool so what do we do?”

Just kept hearing to move on, move foreward. We kept moving, got to our Hostel and quickly realized that this place is full of travelers that are seeking something. Almost everyday we have gotten to share what we are doing and been able to ask these various travelers what they are doing here in Cambodia. Some of them have engaged us with some hard questions and some others have shyed away. Yet I know God has been using us to form relationships and share our testimonies that could plant some seeds, that God will have someone else sow later on. Which is rad. God has already been working here, glad to be apart of it.

It is still hard though living this unscripted lifestyle. Asking the Father to bring Kingdom and to ask Him what our teams’s role is for each and every day is frustrating. I believe the team and I are growing to hear Gods voice more and more and to be patient and listen. I trust that God is continually speaking to us and we just need to leave room for him to work.

For example, yesterday we dedcided to pray and walk around this market place in Siem Reap. We individually asked God to show us who to love on or serve and then we got together and talked about what we heard. Matt heard that we should  walk into the market, Danny saw a young person with a cough, Tanner saw an ankle bracelet, and I saw a smiley old man with missing teeth. All of these images seemed random and it is easy for us to doubt that God spoke in those ways but we still moved forward. We walked into the market and were walking around and looking for the image we saw in prayer. We came across a young woman selling ankle bracelets who had a cough and got to pray with her and got to know her a little bit and that was it.

My image was different from the rest of the team and so I felt we should keep walking around outside of the market. We continued down this road but I felt a pull to go right down an alley. So I did, we kept going down the alley until I saw the Market where we started walking from and I was like welp I guess there wasn’t anybody to meet. But then this old man said “Hello” through a fence and he was very smiley and had missing teeth. I was dumbfounded because I was like this is him. Got to hang out with him and know his story, he invited us into his home and showed us pictures of his family. Such a sweet man, his name is Douk. We prayed for him and I felt the urge to give him some money, so I did. Turns out the amount I gave him was the amount he needed to pay rent for 2 months. It was crazy because Douk had told us after that he was in need of money for rent.

It was so humbling. I thought to myself how long have I gave up trying to listen to God or forgotten how active He is in our life. Have ears to hear and eyes to see my friends. So much love for y’all!
