Capable.
I’ve been debating what I would blog about this week & I finally came to the conclusion I will just fill you on things Gods showing me & what I have been doing the last two weeks. Simple but important.
Capable.
This is the word I keep receiving from God through prayers and through others. It started off when I was asked who the Lord says I am and I received the word Capable. A few days after that I received a note from my team leader that contained words she had prayed about and gotten from God for each of us. The three words she gave me was trust, capable , and powerful. So I was like woah, okay that’s twice God is sending me this word. Then just a few days ago one of the kids here gave me a card she drew and wrote in English for me. And it said “you are more capable then you ever dreamed”. So once again I was like woah. God what’s going on. Capable isn’t exactly an easy, often used English word for one of the kids to choose to give to me, God defiantly sent that to her to share with me. I’m still unsure of what this means for me. I am processing and I know good is to come.
The kids.
I am not fluent in Spanish, a few of the kids use that to their advantage to mess with me but it’s cute. This past few weeks I have gotten to not only work with the kids but just spend quality time with them and become a friend. At least a few of them. Language is no barrier between being able to show them the way our father loves me and loves them. I’ve connected with many of the girls and I just love hanging out with them. They paint my nails and do my hair and are always eager to teach me Spanish. One of my favorite moments this week was when I was painting at the school and one of the very young girls came and sat on my lap during her recess time and just smiled at me the whole time. I would ask her if she wanted to go play with her friends and she’s just shake her head and watch me paint. That was sweet. God is so good.
My new painting gal pal!!
A few of my teachers.
One of the girls that reminds me of pure joy.
