You guys!…. in less than one month I will be packing my bags and heading to Georgia for training camp! I can’t believe how fast time has gone by! Everyday that passes I grow more excited, nervous, anxious, and ready to begin this adventure! At this point I am nearly at the halfway point in fundraising. God has been so faithful to bring in the funds I have needed to buy gear and meet my first financial goal ($5000). I currently have a small mountain growing in the corner of my bedroom made out of things that I will be taking with me.
Launch is in less than three months and I can’t believe it’s actually that close! When I think about leaving for eleven months God reminds me that he has been preparing me far longer than the 10 months I have been fundraising. In the past two years I have started to wear makeup on a less than regular basis and I began wearing my hair in it’s natural state–unruly curls! Furthermore, I have had a desire (mild, but still there!) to unplug from social media.
Those are just a couple small examples of how I feel God has been preparing me well before I knew that I was doing the world race.
