If I get to be a tourist I want to…

  2. Raj Mandir Cinema – opened in 1976, one of the most well known cinemas, you can still catch a Bollywood movie

  3. Golden Temple – near a community dining hall that serves about 100,000 people a free meal every day. Sit on the ground, eat the food, leave. No time for conversation while eating but once outside many who were eating with you will start a conversation.

  4. Palolem Beach – low-key, affordable huts, lots of food, simple nightlife, water activities, canyons, waterfalls, secluded beaches, and snorkeling

  5. Get painted with Mehndi

Food I want to try:

  1. Chaat –  thin pieces of fried dough layered with boiled chickpeas, boiled potatoes, and seasoned yogurt sauce

  2. Kulfi Falooda – a type of ice cream float made with rose syrup, vermicelli noodles, and basil seeds

  3. Pani Puri – deep fried pieces of bread stuffed with mashed potatoes and topped with mint chutney, green chilies, and diced onions

  4. Pakora/Pagoda – deep fried veggies with sriracha

  5. Pav Bhaji – blend of mashed vegetables in tomato based gravy served with buttered bread

  6. Samosa – (I LOVE these but have only had Americanized ones) phyllo dough wrapped around seasoned potatoes, peas, and onions
