Why I Am Not Going on the Race
Hear me out.
To find a husband – This is probably the #1 thing that comes up first in conversation when telling people about my journey. While this would be pretty sweet it is 110% the reason I did not sign up for the race.
To travel the world – Yes, I will be traveling to some amazing places but we are not talking the picture perfect Instagram posts you see. Travel days will be long and trying and housing situations will not be ideal. (Dirt floors, no AC, the hard ground at the airport).
For myself – I know this sounds silly. While this experience will shape who I am as a person I am not doing this for me, it is for Jesus.
The world race is not about me, not about how many stamps I can get in my passport, and not about the people we are serving. This is for Jesus people, let us not lose sight of the real reason and the work He is doing!
