Training Camp was wonderful, challenging, and exactly what I needed at just the right time.
I could go on and on about everything that we learned, the challenges, the bonding, the camping, the scenarios, and how the Lord moved to unite my squad and to prepare our hearts of what’s to come!!!
But for now: here is Training Camp in 11 pictures to best summarize:
-
I slept in a tent for the FIRST time in my life! It was actually awesome (after the first night of course- had to get used to it haha)
-
I met my AMAZING SQUAD!
-
I wrote my first sermon- Joshua 2!

-
I learned a lot about cultural traditions and different cultural perspectives of the Gospel!
-
God divinely brought my wonderful team together- we are the DAUGHTERS!
-
I witnessed the power of healing and spoken words!

-
I was stretched both physically and spiritually!
-
My squad had a little too much fun at Squad Wars!
-
I learned that ministry can happen anywhere- and to listen to the Lord’s voice.
-
I learned that we are born to love and to be loved!!! We are called to be peacemakers and to help reconcile the world to God.
-
AND THE GREATEST THING: I was re-baptized into the HOLY SPIRIT!
I learned that we need to STOP inviting the Holy Spirit into a space! Shocked? I was too!
I was absolutely astonished when I first heard one of the speakers say this in a sermon! For I have sang the line “Holy Spirit, You are welcome here. Come flood this space and fill the atmosphere” for a long time and always thought we had to invite the Spirit.
I was shaken with the truth. The HOLY SPIRIT LIVES IN US. God has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and to work through us. The Holy Spirit is our guide and helper. The Spirit is the gift that God left to us to go with us and to be with us every second of everyday.
This is the end to loneliness for the Spirit is within us. Wow. I have never felt more empowered in my life. The Spirit equips us when we may not be equipped or trained on our own.
The Spirit gives us peace and joy and life abundantly. Living by the Spirit makes everyday an adventure. We just must choose everyday to partner with the Spirit.
I am so overwhelmed by the Spirit and expectant of what is to come.
Thank you all for your support, your love, and your prayers!
