Stillness. In the quiet moments of saying goodbye to loved ones and during launch I began to feel the rawness of what it is to actually need the Lord to walk with you through something. Not just a need where you still think you can do it on your own but an ugly weeping moment where you’re telling the Lord that you literally CAN NOT move forward without Him. It’s in those moments of stillness where the reality of what I’m about to embark on hits me and I feel overwhelmingly under qualified. The truth is there’s no spiritual bar you can reach to be qualified for what the Lord has placed on your heart, what qualifies you is your willingness to say “Yes”.
Often times for me when I experience those moments of stillness with the Lord it’s when I feel the gravity and heaviness (in a good way) of His heart but it can also nick at that insecurity of not being enough or not being qualified. Currently sitting in the later end of a 16 hr layover before heading to Mongolia, I had a moment of stillness with the Lord and challenged my insecurity with a simple question, “If you’re bold enough to say yes and you’re seeking My heart, what more qualification do you need?”
The cool thing about God is there’s not a structured ladder of promotion to qualify you for the desires the Lord’s placed in your heart . It’s so different from what society defines “qualification” as. There’s not a list work’s you can accomplish to qualify you to access the true heart of the Father. It’s quite the opposite, say yes and allow Him to share His heart with you.
The World Race is something that was so far past my own personal belief of qualification but by honoring the heart of the Father, and the unwavering fire He’s put in my heart for the nations, and by saying “Yes” there’s no more convincing for Him, He’s sold out so why shouldn’t I be? I believe that once we start taking those bigger yes’ and pushing our own boundaries of really needing and relying on Jesus to move forward we’ll begin to see Kingdom like we’ve never had before, and that is super exciting.
