Hi! Yesterday i asked Facebook to pray for my parents as they travel to Ecuador. I’ve been anticipating this Parent Vision Trip for 8 months, so I was bummed to hear the news that our organization cancelled the trip (in light of the travel restrictions and health concerns from the coronavirus). However, we trust that the decision was made responsibly to ensure safety and reduce transmission. We are still processing this. It’s just one way the virus is affecting life globally. There’s so many ways. We are aching.
Amidst the news, our squad is also waiting for decisions that will determine our route and timelines (new places, or cancel the route altogether)
We are safe here in Thailand. We’ve seen the impact from overseas and have kept close tabs on the state of the US and other countries greatly affected and our hearts go out to families who are dealing with loss of any sort.
I wanted to ask that you again steer your positive thoughts and prayers for our leadership team as they navigate difficult decisions. Our hearts ache for the potential of this season to end too soon. But we understand the big picture. Despite our deep desire to continue to serve countries in south america, we also want to make sure our decisions ripple positively. The world race has been responding very well and has already cut routes.
Thank you for supporting me and my journey. I have felt so loved through the countless check-ins, and financial support for my mission. I hope we can safely navigate the next 3 months, but if not, I know that the Lord is good, VERY good, and i trust the process.
