Hello once again friends and family! Ive recently felt lead to start blogging a little more. These blogs will be about words that define God and who He says He is and His promises in these words, as well as what God is reveling to me in these moments of stillness. When I think of the word refuge the fist thing that tends to come to mind is a building or dwelling [a safe space] or a materialistic thing, but over the past few weeks God has completely changed my view of this word! Now I see my refuge: a loving, fearless Father who allows me to come to him more freely because He is my refuge and my strength. There is never anything too big or out of Gods control, and finding a resting peace in that has been spiritually refreshing. Proverbs 18:10 says ” The character of God is a tower of strength, for all the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high.” Recently this verse has really spoken to me in that He is described as a tower of strength, and I see a tower as a point of refuge. Something that is looking over a settlement or in this case God looking over our lives. He is reveling him self more and more each day!
