THE BLOG WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. A SISTER IS FULLY FUNDED.

This blog goes out to everyone who prayed for this or gave financially. YOU helped this happen.

In the spirit of this momentous occasion I want to share some BOMB God stories through this process of fundraising!!! LETS GET STARTED.

At the start of fundraising things were ROUGH y’all. I reached this point where I realized I was going to have to raise a little over $2,000 a month in order to be fully funded before I left. I can vividly remember having that tough realization and then crying in my room because I thought I would never be able to do that. Spoiler alert! I did not! God did. I will say though I did not just sit around and pray for this to happen. I got uncomfortable. I asked for help- which I do not like to do. I had awkward conversations. God and I held hands through this whole thing.

After that hard night, I texted one of my friends, Mary Lauren (shoutout to you ML I LOVE YOU SO MUCH) because she had mentioned that her mom used to work with the newspaper. I was really hoping to get in the paper and raise awareness for the race, but also understood that was a bit of a long shot. But shortly after that, she told me her mom did in fact get me an interview. THANKS MS. NIKKI!!! So yeah, I was contacted and got an interview and got in my local paper!!!! Talk about my 15 minutes of fame. But YOU GUYS that isn’t even the coolest part. Right after that was published, I got an anonymous donation for $2,500. DID YOUR JAW DROP OR?? BECAUSE I CRIED. AND IT GETS EVEN BETTER!!!!! I was behind on fundraising for the month, like raised almost nothing, and I was pushed over my goal of $2,000 a month. Only God!!

I spent a loootttt of time trying to come up with a design for my t-shirts- like more than I care to admit. BUT GOD HONORED THAT. I was blessed by selling more t-shirts than I could have ever imagined, even to people I don’t even know! This one particular instance just showed me how far God went to get me on this trip. I was standing in line with two of my best friends Ally and Michelle (MY GIRLS LOVE YOU TWO!!!) to grab ice cream, and then this sweeeeetttiiieee girl approached me! She said something like “Hey I know you don’t know me but I wanted to tell you I bought one of your shirts and I am praying for your trip.” MY JAW DROPPED. I literally could have cried right then and there. First of all- can we talk about her boldness and intentionality? She sought me out of a crowd to encourage me and let me know I am being covered in prayer. THAT is a woman of God! But anyways can we also just talk about the fact that God blessed me with a community that cares about His name being known? It was like every single hour I worked on my shirt was being HONORED just in those few words. I was recognized, I was cherished, and I felt loved. These are all things that God desires for me. HE sees me. HE cherishes me. HE loves me. Yeah, sometimes it takes a girl in an ice cream shop to make me see God’s hand- but I saw it.

These are shorter stories but just had to give some cool examples of people that gave/prayed!!! None of these people were expecting anything in return, some of them don’t even know who I was. But they all helped immensely and that deserves some recognition! Also disclaimer if you don’t get mentioned DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT VALUED HAHA YOU ARE ALL SO LOVED AND GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL. I wish I could shoutout everyone but……$16,600 worth of shoutouts would just be about the longest wildest blog I ever did see. But anyways- to these people and moreeeeee::
