So Mo challenged us to put up a blog about one of our squad mates. She set up the list so we don’t double up and I got Jenay. I sent her a few questions and here’s what she told me.
• me as a person: I am very outgoing! Ever since I was little I’ve always been really people oriented and always trying to make new friends.
• my dad was the one who came across the race actually. He found out about it from a friends daughter doing it; and he thought it was a great idea for me; since I didn’t want to go to college while I’m 16.
• this was the route I was drawn to. The other routes seemed a little intense for me haha.
• I think the Lord is preparing me for the race by reminding me that mission work isn’t about me and my glory; but for the Lord’s.
• I hope to see the Lord show up in new ways. In ways I cannot imagine or predict. Just to flip my heart upside down.
• I’m really nervous to get sick on the race/ kinda have fomo so I don’t wanna miss anything.
• I am soooo excited to get to know my squad mates and grow in relationships with them and learning more about the Lord with them.
• people can pray for me for preparing my heart and humbling it. As well as the Lord giving me prompts and inclinations for things that I should work on before I leave.
Here’s a pic of Jenay so y’all can put a face to a name.
