so I’ve wrote this blog a thousand times in a thousand different ways. yet none of them seemed just right. after about a month of trying, I decided to just come out and say it. I am going on World Race Semesters this January for 3 months and I will be going to Nicaragua and Guatemala. In Nicaragua, I will be serving with two local ministries. At Cicrin Orphanage you will serve in the children’s ministry, spend time helping in the kitchen, teaching English, and assisting with improvement projects around the grounds. At Light & Salt Ministries I will get to be part of the trade classes that empower young boys and girls in a specific field. You will also get to take part in local outreach and evangelism. Or I may find yourself working alongside their Mercy in Action program, involved with evangelism efforts, administrative projects, and manual labor. When I arrive in Guatemala, I will join the team at our World Race base. The outreach will focus on working with local children in the community through sports ministry and teaching English. I will also get to take part in our evangelism efforts by installing new stoves and water filters in local villages. It will be a jam-packed month of fun and exciting ministry.

Until then I am working full time at Dunn Brothers Coffee and I am actually going to help with my church’s youth group (starts tonight, a little nervous) this semester and Sunday school! I am super excited for the future, but I won’t lie and say that these last few months have been easy. But I am trusting in Him and being okay with His plan instead of mine. More exciting news is that my team is actually on their way to Swaziland right now! Which is so crazy so if you would keep them in your prayers, they are currently in the middle of 60 hours of travel to get there and then they will be in Swazi for three months!
