The truth about the 10/40 Window
What exactly is the 10/40 window? It is a rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia located between 10 and 40 degrees North latitude. Which contains 3.1 billion unreached people.
This used to be all I would say about the 10/40 window and I feel like I have done it an injustice. For all of you that have donated and supported me, I wanted to take this time to quickly explain the importance of this area and the impact we are going make together.
One of my amazing team coaches Danny Weiss explained this region better than anyone I’ve met. He describes this area as one of the biggest parts of our “Task Remaining”. In Matthew 24:14 it says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” It is OUR job/task to go into all the nations and share this testimony of the love of Christ. Once we have completed our task, then God’s plan can be complete.
To give you a number for our task remaining, there are 3.5 billion unreached people left in the world. An unreached person is described as someone that lives in an area of no gospel presence nor do they have any kind of access to learn about it. Aproximately 88% of the the world’s unreached live in this “10/40 Window”. Yet only 3% of missionaries go into this area and less than 0.0001% of a standard church tithe goes towards reaching these 3 billion people that have never been shown the love of our God. This breaks my heart. That is why I have quit my job, put all my money into this mission, and dedicated the next year of my life to go into the 10/40 window. In a little over a month I will be headed into this area to show these people the love of our God that has radically changed my life forever.
Let’s change the world together,
Dylan
