I wanted to see what he told me it was…
He proceeded to tell me this crazy story on how it was a different kind of turtle that changes colors and will bite Americans.
I humored him for a bit and nodded in agreement.
We both laughed as we knew we were joking around and took a picture together after!
Meet Juan Carlos and Marianna:
Shortly after one of my squadmates decided to walk up to the iguana and pet it. He kept trying to. Eventually another local walked up casually and started petting it with ease.
My teammate finally got to pet him and snap a memory! It was quite fun to witness. His willingness to do and try new things amazes me!
