Yesterday my journey around the world started in many awesome ways. It began with me getting a direct flight from Dulles (Washington D.C.) airport to San Francisco where I had to say goodbye to my mom and I have to say that it wasn’t easy. The reason for that is because I’m a person who really enjoys being with my family, but I knew that God has me for a big purpose during these next 11 months. Then as I was flying I was just watching some movies and tv shows that I had on the plane and kind of processed what I was about to do. ill also give you some people that I met on my first day in San Francisco.

The first person that I met was a guy named Bob. I was taking a train to meet up with some of my squad mates and didn’t know how to get a card to allow me to go through to get onto the BART train. So I was praying that someone would show me how to do that and so as I was looking like a confused tourist I just said to Bob, “You seem like you live here, do you know how I can get a ticket, it isn’t making sense to me.” Then he said, “Sure I’ll show you how to do that.” He then rode with me to my the train I needed to get off at to my up with the squad mates and I knew that this journey was going to be amazing. We also can now connect with each through Facebook which is great as well.

So later that day, after walking a long distance to meet up with the group I finally found some of them and it was awesome. We all decided to go to REI to grab a few things that we all felt we needed before we had to leave for Cambodia and to me it felt as if everyday I went to REI to prepare for the World Race because that’s where I got a lot of my gear for it. Then we later had an Italian dinner and I had good pizza which was a blast. Then we took an Uber on the way back to our hotel.

During that Uber ride to our hotel, me an a couple of the guys met a Muslim man who talked about some interesting stuff. We all have told him that we all have our reasons why we had Jesus and eventually I got to pray for him. I know that God will use us to help more pre-believers find that Jesus and I’m excited for them to know who their heavenly Father is.

I’m now in the hotel and we are about to leave for Cambodia and I’m excited for the journey. I feel like God is going to move through our group and I think that we are going to enjoy the moments of helping other people. Now pray for us with protection from the enemy and for us to pour out our love for all the world as the disciples would. Thanks again for your support and I’ll blog again soon.

Blessings to you! Your friend!
