I am thankful for my time at Oceans Edge. My team had the amazing opportunity to help out with a variety of projects.
- Cleaning around Ocean Edge Ministry base. We helped out by laying grass, moving boards, and construction supplies. We also helped getting the place ready for guest teams and for the next team that will come.
- My team has been going to Horizon while being in Jaco for the month of April. Horizon is a English speaking church. We have been helping out by teaching Sunday School. I love going to Horizon. It has been so good to go to a church that is similar to my home church. Going to Horizon made me miss my home church back at home.
- We have been helping out at Radical, a Spanish speaking church. We helped out by cleaning Sunday school classrooms.
- Prayer Walks – walking around Jaco and praying for the town.
- ATL – Ask The Lord, listening to God’s voice and doing what He puts on our hearts.
- Helping out with Jaco Beach Info. Walking around and asking businesses if they need prayer and seeing if they would like free advertising. Jaco Beach Info is a website with a list of business in Jaco explaining their business and what makes their business stand out from others.
- Helping out at surf club. My team helped out by watching the water and making sure the kids stay safe. We also helped out by cooking hot dogs and s’mores for the families.
Off Day Adventures
I am thankful for all of my adventures. I love spending time in God’s beautiful creation.
- Zip lining – I enjoyed going zip lining with Erin B, Gabrielle, Jordan, and Lauren. I went upside down on the zip line for the first time, it was enjoyable and amazing!
- Visiting Manuel Antonio – I enjoyed visiting a state park in Costa Rica with Carley, Erin L, Jordan, and Sarah. Manuel Antonio was beautiful and amazing. We got to see tons of monkeys, one sloth, raccoon, and many more animals. I love spending time in God’s beautiful creation.
- Snorkeling – I enjoyed going snorkeling in the ocean with Bailey, Erin B, Jordan, Lauren, Sarah, and Zoe. I loved seeing all of the fish and creatures that were in the ocean.
