Africa is quickly coming to an end, I can’t believe how fast time is going by. In life, we have two choices we can either be moving forward or settling in the same spot. I’m a huge advocate for healing and freedom, but what happens after you receive the freedom? In order to keep living in freedom, things have to change because the enemy will try to get you to fall back.
One thing I love that God does is use you in your weakness. So many times, people including myself try to hide their weakness. Over this last debrief my squad was back together. Thanks to Coach Dave, he had a vision of us praying and fellowshipping as the old church again and that is what we did. We opened the floor up to any prayer request or comments. So many people came up and spoke about their needs and now more people are praying for those requests. I think it’s so important to surround yourself with a community that will lift you up. Instead of pretending to be different in front of people bring it to your community and together bring it to the lord. Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
When your identity is in the world, people will see you as your weakness but when you put your identity in Jesus, he looks at you he will see his blood in you. Not your scars. You have to continue to choose your identity daily. When your identity is in Jesus and the enemy attacks on things that you have freedom from it will only affect you on a surface level. And He has said to me “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” Mostly gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
I just want to encourage everyone to stop settling with your weakness. You can acknowledge what your weakness is and give it to God. Here are some examples of God using people’s weaknesses. Noah was a drunk, Isaac was a daydreamer, Moses had a stuttering problem, Peter denied Christ. There are so many more.
I want to challenge everyone to dig deeper in their weaknesses. Stop wasting time believing that you have restrictions due to your weaknesses. Give it to God and see how He uses you.
