We started this journey in October and here we are, just ONE month until training camp and THREE MONTHS FROM LAUNCH! I am so thankful for every single one of you and I just want to give a quick update on my fundraising journey and how you can pray for my team and I.
First, fundraising. If you haven’t ever had to raise $16,600, I will take one for the team and tell you ahead of time: You will learn a wholllleee lot about Jesus and who He is, your prayer life will increase a whhoolllee lot and be better than ever before, and you will really just get to see and know people around you who are seeking Jesus and helping support you in this journey. I am so thankful. Before I give numbers, I want to publicly state what my goal was/is: To be fully-funded by September 1st.
Now, to the numbers. I committed in early October and had a few different deadlines before me:
June 18, 2019: $5,000
August 22, 2019: $10,000
January 15, 2019: $16,600- FULLY FUNDED
I am reealllyyy STOKED to inform you that I am 93.33% funded!!! Thus far, Jesus and I have raised $15,439 !!!!!!!!! WHAT. A. PRAISE. !!!!!!! If you haven’t heard me say it before, JESUS. IS. SO. FAITHFUL. – now and always. I have just $1,161 left to raise and if you are interested in helping me become fully-funded, please reach out to me! I would be oh-so appreciative.
Although I couldn’t even get on the field without funding, prayer truly is the most important and that is going to dictate how the next nine months go. If you would be so kind as to pray for my team and I as you think of us, I would never be able to thank you enough. Here are some general things that you can be praying for my team and I:
~Every single one of us to have fresh eyes, ears, and hearts. Towards each other, towards authority, and towards every human we come in contact with.
~That we would be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger in every situation. Living with 50 people all the time and not have alone time with 50 different personalities could be dangerous and we want to keep our eyes on the end goal, as well as build each other up.
~Being homesick and our health. We will miss the luxuries and the people from home, but we also want to be present where we are at all times. Also, being sick in a third-world country would not be ideal. Please pray for all of our families back home and our sweet parents who are entrusting us to Jesus and The World Race.
~Travel days: Bus rides, plane rides, and anything else. Jesus is faithful, as we are pleading for protection in all situations.
~Courage. Not all ministry is playing with children in a field or running a VBS. Even with those, courage is needed. We are praying for courage to do ALL He has called us to do, even when we have never done it and have no idea what it will hold. We want to get our human-natured self out of the way and let Jesus work.
Would you consider just praying over ONE of these areas? It would be such a blessing to know someone is praying over these areas consistently. I would love to know which one you picked, so if you want to email or text which one you got, pleasseee do!
