Hellllloooooo, my dear friends!!! Happiest Monday to YOU! This is not going to be a super lengthy blog about Hallmark movies or the embarrassing moments of my everyday life, but instead a HUGE praise and the faithfulness of Jesus. I think I have decided, 3 whole months late, my word for 2019 is FAITHFUL. Keep reading and find out WHY !!!!
When first committing to the race, as you can imagine, the number $16,600 jumped out at me. That is how much I am supposed to raise to go on the race and stay- with added costs of shots and gear, my total comes out to be about $20,000. BUT, I am here to encourage you to remain faithful and continue to be obedient because He will reward you. Not that Jesus owes that to me or to you, but because He loves us and He does anyway.
I am not sure if I have shared with you yet, but my GOAL is to be fully-funded by the time I get on an airplane to go to South Africa, September 5th. My admissions advisor is WONDERFUL and I am so thankful for her because she encourages me, but also gives me a dose of reality. She reminded me that being fully-funded before I leave is a great GOAL, but most racers still have to fund while on the field. By the grace of God, I have been able to raise at least $1,500 every month since committing, sometimes more. I have gone to most of my resources and felt as though I had almost hit a wall during the month of March. In fact, before yesterday, I had raised !!!!!$0!!!! for the month of March. I could not seem to hit my $10,000 goal and I was so close.
The Lord presented an opportunity to go and speak at a church yesterday, the LAST DAY OF MARCH, and Jesus provided THE MOST I HAVE EVER RAISED IN A MONTH!!!!!! WHAT. ABOUT. THAT. Yes, Jesus!!!! You are SO faithful. SO, my friends, it has not been placed into my account, but I am only $2,900 from being fully-funded. Please continue to pray for my team in continuing to fund, unity within our route even this early, and pray that we would stay focused on the goal: to be the hands and feet of Jesus, for all of our days.
I want to encourage you to hold out, remain faithful, and continue to be obedient because Jesus will bless that.
