Time isn’t slowing down it keeps moving
It’s been a while since I have posted a blog, so I decided that I should probably update y’all on how everything has been going since I wrote my first blog. Well I have finally gotten my support letters written and will be sending those out very soon!!
I have started the fundraising process, I’ll be 100% honest it isn’t very it is very difficult but I believe that I will be able to get it done on time. This has been a teaching moment for me because it shows me that I won’t be just handed all the money that I need but it has taught me that if I really want to go on this trip then I need to work for the money. I have started to save my money instead of going out and buying new shoes (that isn’t as easy as it sounds I’m obsessed with buying new shoes) I have stopped going shopping and going out to eat. Which has been great since now I have time to focus on other things. I have been working about 20-25 hours each week which is helping out a lot since a big part of my money I make working is going to go towards this trip but I wouldn’t want to spend it on anything else than this trip.
I can’t believe that it is already 2019!! Time is going so fast, I can’t believe that I leave in a little under 9 months, and that training camp is in 7 months like what! I can’t wait to meet all the amazing people that I will be traveling the world with. I honestly love them already and we haven’t even met but we have been in contact over text message and snapchat! Which has made this process so much better because I know that I am not going through this all alone.
I have started to get all my gear together for the world race but lets be honest I won’t have it all until probably right before training camp. For those of you that know me know that I don’t pack for a trip the night before or even a few hours before I leave, but that won’t work for this trip. I have only gotten the bigger items that I will such as a tent, sleeping bag, my big pack and my day pack. The one thing that I really need to get moving on is getting my passport renewed so that I can come home from Thailand since it expires a few weeks before I am expected to come home. I still have plenty of time to do things before I leave, but it’s better if I get them done as soon as possible because then I won’t be stressing out about them when the time comes when they need to be done.
I do ask that you continue to pray for me throughout this whole process and also pray for my those who I will be going with. If you would like to support me financially you can donate a few different ways.
The first way is to donate directly on my blog which is chelseywiers.theworldrace.org (you probably already knew that since you are reading this blog! Haha!)
The second way would be if you wanted to give me cash or even a check that is fine I would deposit that into my account then I would be able to donate it onto my blog.
And finally the last way you can donate to me is through either my venmo or cash app. I would do the same thing as cash I would donate it directly onto my blog.
