Hey everyone! I know its been quite a while since I’ve updated everyone, and I wanted to apologize for leaving y’all out of the loop, but everything is going great! I’ve been living in Southeast Asia the past 2 months in Thailand and a country I’m not allowed to mention in a blog for the safety of our host (don’t worry its fine our host are amazing people and their community loves them, but AIM would rather us not post where we were so I will respect them). The 1st country we went to was quite the adventure. We couldn’t drive more than 5 minutes without seeing 3 pagodas (Buddhist Temples), we lived on a college campus and taught English every day from 9:15-4 with the exception of the week of Christmas and New Years, and we lead a devotional every morning with a little worship session usually 2-3 songs and every night one of us would give a message about something God laid on our hearts and had a really boppin worship session with 4-5 songs. We grew amazing relationships with the future missionaries and pastors at the college, and we can’t wait to see who they inspire because I know they inspired me. When I get to heaven and see Jesus, one of the first questions I’m going to ask him is what happened with my friends in Asia, and I can’t wait to hear his response!! My team lived and partnered with team Radiate, a team of 7 amazing women who chase after the Lord so much, and I am beyond blessed to have spent my time with them and to have learned so much from each of them. After we wrapped it up in that country the squad moved to Thailand and spent a week at MIDPOINT DEBRIEF (YES IM HALFWAY DONE WITH THE RACE), where we got to spend time reflecting on what God has done for us and in us the past 4 and a 1/2 months. We spent time in sessions given to us by 2 of my favorite couples (shout out to the Ulsh’s and the Petersen’s: 2 couples who have taught me a lot about what a relationship with the Lord should look like) every morning and night. We also had team debriefs, where we would sit with our mentors and coaches and talk about what’s happened in the last 3 months since month one debrief, along with 1 on 1’s with one of the mentors or coaches. It was also great to have some time to sit back and relax and spend time with the squad catching up after being apart for a month. While we were there, we met a new friend (thank you Jesus!) who now wants to be a Christian, which will be a blog post of its own so you can hear how amazing this man is. As debrief wrapped up, and it came time to leave the entire squad and to hop on a public bus for 14 hours to Roi Et, Thailand, where we live on a camp serving as farm hands for pumpkin planting and fish farming to allow the ministry to make money to support other projects and the community around them. I will be posting a blog soon going into more detail on what the Lord is doing in my life!! Love y’all.
P.S. IM FULLY FUNDED THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR DONATING AND PRAYING IT TRULY MEANS SO MUCH TO ME HOPE I CAN MAKE EVERYONE PROUD!!!
