Today my team got to do something we never get to do! PLAY WITH KIDS! As men we have the opportunity to do many different ministries and meet many different people, but sadly that means we can’t spend as much time with the kids at the many care points AIM has here in Swaziland. The five girls teams on our squad have care points they go to everyday and spend time with and love on the local children here in Nsoko, Swaziland. Today we had the privilege of going to our second care point this month called Joyella with team Abundance and it was amazing. We pulled up in our super crowded van and instantly I walked out and was greeted with hugs by children, smiling faces, laughter, a little girl wanting to be held, and a boy wanting to hold my hand and play soccer. We played with them and served them food until 2 when we helped Abundance teach the kids a lesson about love through the story of The Good Samaritan, because the team told us that the kids are too rough and unforgiving with each other. As time went on and I talked more and more with my new friends and learned their names, grades, hopes, dreams, and family life at home. Let me tell y’all what. These kids are amazing! They love Jesus and all have such kind hearts. They want to grow up and become doctors, teachers, pastors, and one boy told me he wanted to be a good father when he grows up. Today God showed up in many ways. In the crowded van on the way to Joyella, in the community of two teams coming together, in the teaching of His word, and in the laughter of the children. And he continues to show up. I am excited and eager to see where He shows up next.
