We chose the name Groot because the word that’s been spoken over our team is love. And if you’ve ever seen Guardians of the Galaxy, you know Groot is a character who has such a strong love for his friends, to the point of sacrificing himself for them. Also, we kept getting the picture of a tree with the idea of staying deeply rooted in Christ and the growth that comes along with that. And Groot is a tree. Everything tied together so well that when someone casually suggested it, we all instantly agreed!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know my team and following along on our journey!
