So much to do, so little time. Isn’t that always the way of life? ImI sure you understand, especially if you’re a planner like me. Now, listen, I’m not a super rigid, gotta-be-this-way kind of person – I don’t mind if the plans change, as kind as there IS one. That statement has never been tested more than these past few months of “crunch time”, where together we raised over $7,000 so that I could launch in June.

The first deadline was coming up fast in April, and as March passed too quickly, I thought there was absolutely no way it was happening. I’d had all these grand plans for fundraisers, but I kept having to cancel and cancel and cancel as school and worked sucked up all my time. But! We met the first goal of $5,000.

Then another seemingly insurmountable goal lay ahead. Only one month to raise ANOTHER $5,000. I had to leave more ideas by the wayside, local churches were already sponsoring other missionaries, I had exams coming up and my final five week class. When that month started I was so worried i wouldn’t make it. But, it happened. We met and EXCEEDED the $10,000 goal.

This is insane. It literally blows my mind that I actually get to leave in just 20 days on a journey I know will leave me forever changed. How do I know this?

Because I’m already changing.

These goals … well, they ARE about money. But, more than that,  God has reminded me in a very tangible way that we can make all the plans we want to and try to make them happen with all we have,  but HIS purpose is ultimately what will come about. I’m paraphrasing Prov 19:21 here.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this in any capacity. Whether you’ve donated a thousand dollars or one, whether you prayed once or daily for this success – I am extremely grateful for you. Quite literally, none of this would have been possible without you.

I am planning (lol. We’ll see, we’ll see!) a yard sale before I go. If you have anything to donate, let me know asap. Also the adopt-a-box. And please, please, PLEASE consider subscribing to my prayer email. I need the strength of my brothers and sisters lifting me and my squad up in prayer.

Love you all!
