Dear friends, family, and supporters,

I felt the need to write an updated support letter. I wrote the previous one in January, and as most of you know, a lot can change in just 8 months.

For those of you who have yet to see the first support letter, here is a little background. I am going on a mission called The World Race. It is an 11-month mission, to 12 different countries, with an organization called Adventures In Missions. During these 11 months, I will be with my squad of 38 people. They have split us up into teams. My team of four other ladies with be with each other for the first few months. Our route that were taking on, is Route 3. This route will take my squad and I to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina.

While we are in each of these countries, we will be in partnership with churches and ministries in the local communities to share the Gospel, work with orphans, minister to women trapped in sex trafficking, leading bible studies, and ministering to remote, unreached villages. The list of things that I foresee
myself, and my team doing is extensive. If you want to hear more, please reach out to me. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling.

As you can imagine, a trip like this requires a ton of financial support. The total cost for the trip is $19,200. This covers food, lodging, insurance, supplies, training, etc for the entire 11 months. That total, however, does not include, travel to the launch point (Georgia), vaccinations, gear and personal cash while out on the field. I pray that you see the desire in my heart, along with my squad, to go out in love with the end goal in mind. Reach every tribe.

If you want to follow me through this journey, I will be posting weekly updates on my blog callawier.theworldrace.org. If you desire to partner with me during this mission, through your financial support, you can donate online, directly through my blog. Or if you are interested in sending cash/check (Please be sure to put my name ’Calla Wier’ in the memo line), you can either send it to me or send it to Adventures in Missions directly, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570.

After the 11 months is over, I will be making this a 12-month mission. I will be heading to Haiti for a month, to share my heart and what all God has done in and though me while on the race, with the friends and families that have built relationships with during previous mission trips. This will also be a time of
reflection and prayer. This will add another $1,000 to my total cost of the year. If you would like to support me specifically for this my Venmo is calla-wier, my PayPal is [email protected] and as always check/cash can be sent via mail, and my mom will make sure the money gets in my personal account. I will be staying with Reach Global and I will give cash directly to the organization.

While I do need your financial support, its importance is a distant second to my need for your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow me to be successful as I continue to follow God’s calling. While this opportunity is exciting, it is easy to get caught up in the unknown of God’s plans. I continue to lean on the verse of Joshua 1:9 , as a reminder that I do not need to be afraid because He is with me wherever I go.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, again. Moreover, a huge shout out to the ones who have already helped me raise $7,238. I am excited for what is next, and I cannot wait to share my story, of how God uses me throughout this journey, with you.

Because they haven’t heard,
Calla Rae
