Hello all,

I have sent out, what feels like, a ton support letters. But I am human and I know I have missed, what feels like, a ton of people who would like one. For that, I am sorry. I won’t bore you with any excuses, but I do have to say, fundraising is H A R D!

I have decided to attach my support letter, below. If you would still like me to send you one, feel free to send me an email ([email protected]), with your address and I will gladly send you one. The real support letter has a photo of me, from this last time I was in Haiti, so I don’t blame you for wanting a hard copy. 😉

I have also recieved a lot of questions about deadlines and when all this money is due. So here are the deadlines that I have:

5/17/2019 First Deadline – $5,000 WE MADE IT!!! Praise be to God! I am so thankful for the ones who have already decided to come alonside me, financially, during this next season of life.

7/18/2019 Second Deadline – $10,000

9/30/2019 Third Deadline – $13,000

11/30/2019 FINAL Deadline – $19,200

I hope this answers some questions. I can definitely use some prayers, as it is getting pretty nerve racking, as I am leaving so soon. Please pray for wisdom, direction. Please also pray that I may have boldness during this time of asking my community to support me financially and prayerfully. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Feel free to reach out to me anytime, via phone or email.

In His Hands,

Calla Rae

Here is my support letter:

Dear family, friends, & supporters,

As some of you may know, God has placed another journey at my feet. This time around I will be gone for one year. I am going on a mission that is called The World Race. I will be gone on this mission trip for 11 months, visiting 11 different countries with an organization called Adventures In Missions. At the end of the race, I’ll be heading back to Haiti with Reach Global.

The first 11 months of this mission I will be with a team of 40-55 people. Our route that were taking on, is route 3. This route will take my team and I to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. While we are in each of these countries, we will be in a partnership with churches and ministries in the local communities to share the Gospel, work with orphans, minister to women trapped in sex trafficking, leading bible studies, and ministering to remote, unreached villages. The list of things that I foresee myself, and my team doing is extensive. If you want to hear more, please reach out to me. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling.

I’m excited about this opportunity and experiences that lie ahead. I pray that you see the value in what we will be accomplishing. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people and organizations. I need to raise $19,200. This covers food, lodging, insurance, supplies, training, etc. I will also need to raise funds for travel to and from training (June 5th-15th), travel from the launch point, vaccinations, gear and personal cash while in the field.

?If you want to follow me through this next journey, I will be posting updates on my blog callawier.theworldrace.org.  If you desire to partner with me during this mission, through your financial support, you can donate online directly through my blog. If you are interested in sending cash or check (make sure you put my name in the memo line), you can either send it to me or send it to Adventures in Missions directly, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570.

During the 12th month of this journey, I will be going back to Haiti, for a time of reflection and prayer. I will be seeking clarity and knowledge as to if this is where God wants me to be a long term missionary and if so, what my role would be as a member of Reach Global. This will add another $1,000 to my total cost of the year.

While I do need your financial support, it’s importance is a distant second to my need for your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow me to be successful as I continue to follow God’s calling. While this opportunity is exciting, it is easy to get caught up in the unknown of God’s plans. I continue to lean on the verse of Joshua 1:9, as a reminder that I do not need to be afraid because He is with me wherever I go.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am excited for what is next, and I can’t wait to share my story, of how God uses me throughout this journey, with you.

Because they haven’t heard,
Calla Rae
