let me introduce you to my family. these are my sisters. my community. the women who I get to do life with and walk alongside through these 9 months.

Madison.

madison is a woman who walks in complete boldness. she’s okay with saying the hard things. she loves sacrificially and like no other. she has a kind heart and speaks with words of love. madison is a leader and it’s evident in everything she does. the lord is working through her in so many ways and I know he’s not done with her. crazy thankful I get to call her my sister.

Nicole.

when I first met nicole we were at training camp back in July. she was throwing up sick for the first few days and I wasn’t sure when we would see her or if she even wanted to continue with the race. sure enough, she got better and came into our team ready to go! nicole walks so boldly in the kingdom. she is a woman who follows the Lord’s obedience fully. she’s someone who walks out Romans 12. love is action and she carries it so well. (also thank you nicole for always killing the spiders in our room & for sharing your peanut butter with me when we get late night munchies ilu)

Kimbo.

when I think of kimberlyn, I think of complete joy! she loves others so beautifully and so deeply. kimbo has one of the most contagious smiles i’ve ever seen. you can’t help but feel warm when you’re in her presence. she is intentional with her conversations and brings a spirit of welcomeness to anyone she talks with. she is compassionate and full of grace. when I first met kimbo it literally felt like we had been sisters for a lifetime.

Louisa.

“your lives light up the world. let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?” Matthew 5:14 (TPT) my sweet lou! she is light. everywhere she goes she radiates. the Father fills her up inside then she gets to pour into those around her. I love watching louisa in our ministries. she talks with the women and interacts with the children as if there were no language barrier which is super cool to watch and it reminds me that showing love doesn’t require speaking the same language. love this sister of mine.

Mandy.

amanda brings peace. she provides warmth and joy in every situation. most nights when our team is cleaning the dishes mandy will hook up the speaker and play music and dance like no one is watching. when I think of mandy I think of those nights. I picture a girl in a white dress dancing in a field with the sun beaming on her as her Father watches her from above with a smile on His face. she is a crazy talented woman who is down for almost anything. mandy brings a spirit of excitement and joy everywhere she goes.

Hannah.

the best team leader I could’ve asked for. han reminds me of home. her laugh. her smile. her weirdness. her presence. her warmth. a woman with extreme obedience to abba. hannah went on the race last year and got back in June, then left all over again 3ish months later to lead my team. the way she cares for the people around her makes you feel all toasty inside. she loves big and intentionally and I’m extremely blessed to have her in my life.

team xápa. (greek word for joy) joy is something my team and I vowed to each other and to the Lord to walk out this year. I can truly say this is a family of joy. we’ve had a lot of ministries over the past couple weeks not go too hot. while this got discouraging, seeing my team lift each other up through it has been such a reminder of the commitment we gave each other. thanks god for this family and for the joy they bring to me and everyone around.

much love,

britt
