Bailee, what is your favorite season and why?
Well, thank you kindly for asking.
It’s kind of hard to choose, but it’s also an easy decision. I know which one it is not. Winter. If you are one of those people that like having to wear five layers to stay warm, which in return make you so tightly bundled that you walk like a robot, good for you. There is a certain crispness in the air that gives winter…one…redeeming trait, and I guess the fires are fun to have too. I could have an enjoyable winter for about one week. I think that is the perfect amount of time to reflect and really find that extra bit of gratitude…for every other season.
I’ll step off my soap box now.
Fall and spring are pretty amazing. You get that mix of warm and cool days without being in either extreme for too long. I enjoy the unpredictability of the two, yet…they still don’t hold a candle to S-U-M-M-E-R. *INSERT ALL THE HEART EYES*
Summer is the season where it happens. Summer is where I thrive, and I’ll tell you why. Those four months of endless sunlight and irrepressible heat represent opportunities galore. When you’ve finished your last class or wrapped up at work and think your day is done, you drive home with sunlight that makes the inside of your car look like its filled with fairy dust. And this reminds you that you have a whole night of adventures waiting for you.
Walks in your neighborhood, going to the park, barbecues, the lake, swimming, ice cream trucks, movies on the lawn…ANYTHING OUTDOORS. IT’S POSSIBLE! There’s no darkness or frostbite keeping you from doing the things you love.
Sun-kissed skin and the cutest nose freckles. Swimming. Crazy hair. Summer love. Fireflies. Twinkle-lit dance parties. Star-gazing. Fun anklets. Fruit IN-SEASON! Did I mention swimming yet?
Summer. Summer. Summer. I’m just dreaming of it now…
I’m a big outdoorsy person, so I understand that if you are anti-nature because of allergies or phobias or misunderstanding God’s creation (sorry I had to), maybe summer isn’t your favorite season. But also, maybe you’re just doing it wrong. I’m 99.9% sure I can help you find something that will make you enjoy summer more, and I am up for being proved wrong. That’s how much faith I have in summer. So comment down below if you need your friendly, neighborhood summer event planner to help show you how to have a good time in these types of conditions.
p.s. I’m really praying for some warm weather while on the race and would be so grateful for your prayers in agreement. “Where two or more are gathered…” Yes, that is how I tied this blog post back into the WR heehee 😉
