Hi!!!
I can’t believe I am writing my first blog post, wow. I am so overwhelmed and full of joy that I have the opportunity to serve others and show them the love of Jesus in 11 different countries. It has definitely taken some courage, and a leap of faith to be where I am at right now. The World Race is something I had looked into my sophomore year of college but knew there was no way I could ever do it, with school and a lease, and fundraising, etc…but….. here I am two years later!! After overcoming (well, still overcoming) my fear of fundraising, I have decided to go on The World Race. If you aren’t sure what it is exactly, it is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries where I will be the hands and feet of Jesus. I am overjoyed that I get to go and love on people and help meet their needs. If you know me, you know that I am very passionate about this. I truly believe that the way to lead others to Christ is through our actions. When we love people with the overflow of God’s supernatural love, we see change. I feel called to GO. The thought of leaving my family, and my pup is hard – especially for an entire year (Lord knows I need my sisters help to survive), BUT I know how God can move and reach people through us, so I have complete peace about this trip. Our God is so faithful and I have seen that more in the last two weeks than I have in my lifetime. It’s funny how when we say yes to the things God puts right in front of us, how his faithfulness shines brighter than we can imagine. I hope with the help of my friends and family, through prayer above all, that I can GO and love on the people of these countries. Stay tuned by subscribing for my blog updates!!
