After three days of evangelism training, my team and I finally landed in Lima, Peru two days ago. During our travels, we met other missionaries and had several opportunities to plant Gospel seeds.
On our second flight, God placed me in seat 14D. Before boarding, I checked to see if anyone from my team would be sitting next to me. No one was. I got excited when I entered the plane and saw a Peruvian couple seated in my row. Shortly after take-off, I started a conversation with the man sitting next to me, and we talked for the majority of the flight. I learned so much about his life, and he taught me so much about his country. I was able to talk about God with him some and pray with both of them before we landed. My hope is that God spoke truth through me.
Although I wanted so badly to change the hearts of this couple, I was reminded that nothing in my power could foster such a change. Christ alone has the power to open eyes to truth, save souls, and call you into relationship with Him. My role in building Christ’s kingdom is simply to love others well and invite them to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict, Christ’s job to save, and the Father’s job to judge.
“This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12

Después de tomar tres días para aprender cómo compartir el evangelio mejor, mi equipo y yo por fin llegamos a Lima, Perú hace dos días. Durante el viaje, conocimos a varios misioneros y también tuvimos algunas oportunidades de sembrar semillas del evangelio.
Durante el segundo vuelo, Dios me puse en asiento 14D. Antes de abordar el avión, les pregunté a mis compañeros de equipo para averiguar si uno de ellos iba a sentarse a lado de mi en el avión. Nadie. Entonces, me puse muy emocionada cuando vi una pareja peruana sentada en los asientos al lado del mío. Después de despegar, empecé a hablar con el señor sentado a mi lado y hablamos básicamente todo el vuelo. Aprendí mucho sobre su vida y también me contó mucho de su país. y lo más importante es que le pude hablar de Dios y también orar por la pareja. Mi oración es que Dios me usó para compartir la verdad con ellos.
Aunque yo quería cambiar los corazones de esta pareja, yo tuve que reconocerme que no tengo el poder que puede fomentar un cambio así. Sólo Cristo tiene el poder de abrir los ojos a la verdad, salvar almas y llamarte a una relación con Él mismo. Mi papel en el construir del reino de Dios es amar bien a los demás e invitarlos a aceptar el evangelio de Cristo Jesús. Es el trabajo del Espíritu Santo condenar, el trabajo de Jesús salvar y el trabajo del Padre ser juez.
“Este Jesús es la piedra reprobada por vosotros los edificadores, la cual ha venido a ser cabeza del ángulo. Y en ningún otro hay salvación; porque no hay otro nombre bajo el cielo, dado a los hombres, en que podamos ser salvos.” Hechos 4:11-12
