Meet My Wildflowers

Heyyyy,

 

This blog is all about my team! Our name is Wildflowers (if you didn’t know from the title!! Each person could probably give a different reason why we chose that name, but its fine. Basically, like wildflowers, we are content with letting our beauty shine wherever we new, and we don’t care if we put on display. And if God is the only one that sees us, that is enough. Plus, we are all INCREDIBLY different. It works tho.

 

 

Name: Emma Robertson

Nickname: Em Jo! 

Why did you decide to do the race?: 

Honestly it was a thing orchestrated by the Lord! I was ready to go to college- even had the one I was going to go to picked out. (Go bulldogs!!!) But yeah the Lord knows my heart a lot better and took me here and I am so thankful! I’ve loved every second of it and I know this is where I’m supposed to be.

Hidden Talent?: I can make a song out of ANYTHING! 

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Cornflakes- they’re so versatile! Like you can add anything in them and they’re good. A personal favorite is a lil sugar and cold milk. A BET

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunset! I feel like the colors are always brighter

Favorite article of clothing you brought w you?: Oh for SURE my sweats. I wear them probably everyday- for anyone who is considering doing the race- those are a MUST HAVE. 

Favorite name for the Lord?: Jesus!! And I also always feel super comforted by reminding myself that He is my best friend.

Nickname: B-dog

Why did you do the race?: I wanted to explore God’s world and discover what He has for me to do in it. Along with growing in a close community!

Hidden Talent?: I can nap on any surface, anytime (good one for the race)

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Honey Bunches of Oats because they’re sweet and the best

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunrise. It’s more worth it to me because it’s hard to wake up for it, but then it’s so gloriously beautiful!

Nickname: Balayage 

Why did you decide to team lead?: To be the person I wish I had my first three months and help point my girls back to Christ when things get hard

Hidden Talent?: Eating my weight in ice cream 

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Honey Nut Cheerios because they’re sweet and good for your heart

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: 

Sunrise because I’m reminded of God’s promises that come with every new morning and am excited about what he’s going to do that day

Name: Sam Hughes

Nickname: Samantha / Samuel 

Why did you do the race?: To be a vessel for the Father to do his will

Hidden Talent?: Popping my toes on command

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Fruity Pebbles because those boys are colorful AND flavorful 

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunset because it’s a beautiful image of Gods glory before the night.

Name: Ellen Johnson

Nickname: Elle, Elle Bell, Eleanor, etc.

Why did you do the race?: The Lord repeatedly revealed mission work & the World Race to me specifically through dreams & numerous interactions with people!

Enneagram Type?: 7

Hidden Talent?: I’m a friggin awesome hoola-hooper

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Fruity Pebbles because we looovveee colors

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunrise! You have to work harder to see them but they’re always worth getting up for! The atmosphere is different.

Favorite article of clothing you brought w you?: My jean jacket, she’s old trusty

Nickname: Morgy

Why did you do the race?: I wanted to learn more about the gifts/passions I have and the only way to figure that out is to learn more about the one who gave me those gifts!!

Enneagram Type?: I thought I was a nine before coming on the race and being analyzed by my team and now Alex seems to think I’m a two 

Hidden Talent?: I’m pretty good at walking backwards

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Unicorn loops (uniloops) cause they’re fun, and I like to think I’m fun 

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunrise, there is something special about getting yourself to get out of your warm bed to watch the beginning of a new day rise up upon the horizon… it’s beautiful

Favorite article of clothing you brought w you?: The drug rug, I wear that guy all the time…. (don’t worry tho, I signed a covenant)

Why did you do the race?: I wanted to travel and follow the King most high

Hidden Talent?: I can pop my shoulder out of socket 

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Captain crunch because the cuts on the roof of mouth remind me of my childhood 

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunrise baabbyyy, it the start of a new day that God has blessed me to live my life

Nickname: Idk we haven’t gotten that far yet

Why did you do the race?: I wanted to experience and learn about new cultures while also spreading the love of Jesus.

Hidden Talent?: Catching food in my mouth

If you could be a cereal, which would you be? Why?: Rice Krispys bc we love they way they pop off

Sunrise or sunset? Why?: Sunrise bc morning time is my absolute favorite time of the day

These are my **GIRLS** I love them to pieces! I get to live with them, do ministry with them, do face masks with them, watch movies with them, go around town with them, and just do life with them every single day. I’m so thankful that we were plucked from all over the USA and put on this team to grow together (I love you guys). So, if anyone was wondering, these are the women I spend the majority of my time with!
