Hello Everyone! If you are staring at this page it means you want to get to know me!  Either that or you don’t know how to operate a website and accidentally stumbled across my blog.  If that’s the case we are in the same boat because I honestly have no idea what I’m doing.  Anyways, I’m glad you’re here! My name is Amber Pifer, I am 19 years old, and I am socially awkward, easily entertained and easily distracted.  I hate cooking; my favorite meal is one I don’t have to make myself, even better if it’s free.  I was home schooled from my 8th grade year till graduation.  I’m a super nerd; my current obsessions are anime, Doctor Who, Marvel and Harley Quinn to name a few.  We would be here for days if I listed them all.  I have horrible depth perception and super klutzy.  Yet I played soccer for most of my high school years. I’m also very unorganized and crafty, I taught myself how to crochet, and I sketch and paint. I’m semi musically inclined; I play the violin and am currently learning the piano.  I serve as the youth leader at my local church.  Working with the youth is a passion of mine, because I understand the struggles they go through, and how hard it is to be a Christian in school.

I first got a taste for missions in Florida in 2015 during the GC15 conference.  I was on the team that went to Orlando and Kissimmee.  We worked with the local churches there, helping with their projects and getting to know their community.  I was 15 years old and I told my testimony to the elders of the church and watched as they started crying, blessed by my story. They videotaped it and showed it to their youth. Before, I thought my story was insignificant, and wasn’t much really, but it was then that I realized that my story mattered, and that God would use me to impact more for His sake.

I am now preparing for a short mission trip to Haiti in March through my church, as well as the Gap year mission come September. I’m so excited to see what God has in store for me in the coming years as I fundraise and see His provision and grace though my Journey.
